RITES HELD FOR MRS. SUDIE TAYLOR
Funeral rites for Mrs. Sudie E.
Taylor, 95, were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, in
Mrs. Taylor, the last of the county’s oldest set twins, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in San Saba Nursing Home where she had resided the past three years.
Mr. Taylor, the former Sudie Terry, and her twin brother, S.H. Terry, were born Aug. 23, 1871, in a log houe on the old McAnnelly place a few miles east of town, to Steve Woodson Terry and Volumnia Jane Adams Terry. Her twin brother preceded her in death several years ago and she was the last of 14 children of her parents.
She was married to George Cook
Taylor in July, 1892, here in San Saba.
Her husband died in 1933. a lifetime resident of the county, she kept her own house
until the past few years. She was a
