Jerry M. Terry 1931-2001

Jerry Mack Terry, 69, of Amherst Court, Stephens City, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, in Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Fairfax.

Mr. Terry was born Aug. 12, 1931, in San Saba, Texas, the son of Merlin Alexander and Helen Draper Terry. He had been an inspector for Fairfax County and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He married Jean Marie Bowlen on April 17, 1953. Mrs. Terry died April 18, 1986.

Surviving with his parents, of San Saba, are a son, Jerry Michael Terry of Winchester; a daughter, Mary Cathleen Terry of Stephens City; a sister, Martha McDonald of San Antonio; a brother, Michael Terry of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Kline, Jerry Pierce, Jose Trejo, Sergio Gonzales, and Matthew Miller.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
