A J Walker had five children - three boys and two girls. The first was Billy Walker, born in 1885, by his first wife Sarah Speir
and four by his second wife, Ada Ruth Walker. They were Estelle, Terry, Alfred, and Ruth. All of his children and grandchildren were born in San Saba
County except Johnny, son of Terry and Maude, who was born in Albuquerque. Terry and Maude had homesteaded some land in Encino, New Mexico and moved
there in the eary 1930s. When Maude became pregnant with Johnny she moved to a boarding house in Albuquerque, almost 100 miles away to the west, to be
near a hospital where Johnny was born in 1936.
